Job Description

We are currently working with a client who is based in Washington DC. At the current time this position is working remotely.

Work hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

This is a long term contract position.

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Customer Service Representative with a strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid programs to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with inquiries, providing information, and resolving issues related to Medicare and Medicaid services. Your expertise in these government-sponsored healthcare programs will ensure that clients receive accurate and reliable support.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to incoming inquiries from clients regarding Medicare and Medicaid programs, benefits, eligibility, coverage, and claims.
  2. Provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
  3. Assist clients in navigating the application process for Medicare and Medicaid programs, ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted.
  4. Resolve client concerns, issues, and disputes related to coverage, payments, and claims, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments to address complex inquiries and ensure timely resolution.
  6. Maintain detailed records of client interactions, inquiries, and resolutions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  7. Stay updated on changes and updates to Medicare and Medicaid regulations, policies, and procedures.
  8. Assist clients in understanding their rights and responsibilities within the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancing the overall customer service experience.
  10. Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously improve your knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a related role.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, including eligibility criteria, coverage options, and claims procedures.
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle challenging client interactions with empathy and professionalism.
  6. Familiarity with relevant software and tools, including CRM systems.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple inquiries simultaneously.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy when conveying information and processing documentation.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  10. Patience and dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
  11. Willingness to adapt to changes in policies and procedures related to Medicare and Medicaid programs.
