Job Description

We have an immediate need for a Warehouse Specialist to work in a secure building for a federal government client.  This is a long-term contract and the hours are 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:30am – 4:00pm.  The work environment is more of a business atmosphere than a typical warehouse.  The individual will be interacting with members of congress, dignitaries, and law enforcement personnel. 

The location is metro accessible, but does not have free parking.  Please note qualified candidates will have to be able to pass a background investigation and a drug test. 

Responsibilities:

  • Driving to various sites in the DC metro area including Fort Meade, Manassas, and all over DC.
  • Verify materials and merchandise against receiving documents
  • Report discrepancies and damages
  • Route materials to storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials
  • Manually loading or unloading freight cars, trucks, or other transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or pallet jack
  • Verify the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records
  • Ensure that goods are appropriately identified for routing to divisions within the establishment, and preparing and keeping records of goods received
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unencumbered driver’s license
  • Proof of Covid 19 Vaccinations
  • Ability to drive a 34 foot U-Haul
  • Ability to use a forklift and pallet jack – Fork lift certification preferred
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Will be required to wear organizational uniform
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Diplomatic communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize based on changes in responsibilities
