Job Description

Public  sector client is seeking a Technical Writer III for a long-term contract. This position  will be responsible for writing and editing technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication. Ideal candidate will have  strong writing skills and  be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Candidate's experience:

  • Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications 
  • Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with a Bachelors  degree
  • Strong Technical Writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Experience in writing technical reports, brochures, catalogs and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication
  • Experience in editing graphs in Microsoft Word and Excel
