Job Description

Our client in the government sector is seeking a Technical Writer III for a long-term contract. The Technical Writer III will be responsible for writing and editing technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication. If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with strong writing skills and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Technical writing experience required.

 

Job Requirements

Candidate must be able to:

  • Develops, writes, and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications 
  • Interviews production and engineering personnel and reads journals, reports, and other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods
  • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, parts lists, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding

Qualifications:

  • 5 years experience with a Bachelors  degree
  • Strong Technical Writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Experience in writing technical reports, brochures, catalogs and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication
  • Experience in editing graphs in Microsoft Word and Excel
