Job Description

Our client in the government sector is seeking a Technical Writer for a long-term contract. The Technical Writer will be responsible for researching, writing and editing materials that are complex.  If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with strong writing skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience in writing technical reports, manuals and publications.


Job Requirements

Qualified candidate must be able to:

  • Researches, writes and edits materials that are complex or controversial, and read by a diverse audience
  • Develops and synthesizes final copy based on material submitted by others
  • Assist Manager with regular comprehensive and/or in-depth reviews and high level analysis and revises or modifies department policies and procedures, publications and accreditation standards 
  • Collaborates and works with the designated contacts within the Department to gather proofs of compliance in the form of annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily reports
  • Organizes material and completes writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology


  • Bachelors  degree
  • 3-4 years of Technical Writing
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Experience in writing technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication
  • Experience in editing graphs in Microsoft Word and Excel
