Job Description

Government sector client is seeking a Technical Writer  for a long-term contract. The staff member will be responsible for researching, writing and editing materials that are complex in nature. We are looking for a candidate with strong writing skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience in writing technical reports, manuals and publications. 

 

Qualified candidates must be able to:

  • Research, write and edit materials that are complex or controversial, and read by a diverse audience
  • Develop and synthesize final copy based on material submitted by others
  • Assist Manager with regular comprehensive and/or in-depth reviews and high level analysis and revises or modifies department policies and procedures, publications and accreditation standards 
  • Collaborate and work with the designated contacts within the Department to gather proofs of compliance in the form of annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily reports
  • Organize material and complete  writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors  degree
  • 3-4 years of Technical Writing
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel
  • Experience in writing technical reports, brochures, and/or manuals for internal documentation, customer reference, or publication
  • Experience in editing graphs in Microsoft Word and Excel
