Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy and counseling services to individuals and families affected by trauma.
  • Use trauma-informed modalities, including SandTray, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, and others.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 25 clients, with therapy sessions lasting 50 minutes per client.
  • Deliver services in-person, with a typical duration of 16-24 weeks per case.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including case managers and attorneys, to provide holistic support.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development through training and mentoring opportunities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Fully licensed by the State Board of MD to provide therapy independently (e.g., LCMFT, LCSW-C, or LCPC).
  • Located in PG County MD, accessible by public transportation.
  • Experience working with children, youth, adults, and families impacted by trauma is preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, including knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
  • Ability to maintain a 25-person caseload and work independently while managing client needs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and team collaboration.
