We are currently seeking an Senior Accountant to join a media company.

In this role, you will have a variety of objectives which could include auditing, uploading, recording and processing firm invoices. and performing all other duties assigned. 

The position is onsite. This is a direct hire role. Monday-Friday, 9AM-5:30PM.

Job Requirements

Summary:

The Senior Accountant must be able to capture accounting data, process daily transactions and ensure a high level of accuracy and accountability. The Senior Accountant will have a key role in evolving the accounting department to best support the business. 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-5 years of accounting public or private. CPA preferred. 
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Proactive and hardworking with a strong desire to succeed
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, start-up environment
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great team player

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Verify, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare journal entries, variance analyses and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review cash management transactions and prepare cash reports for management
  • Review capital expenditure schedules and coordinate tax reportable transactions
  • Maintain and monitor debt schedules and agreements
  • Assist in the quarterly and annual external financial audit
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual close process ensuring strict deadlines are met
  • Take leading role in the annual audit
  • Assist in the preparation of required tax filings
  • Ensure all financial data is in compliance with GAAP
  • Performs all duties assigned.
