Key Responsibilities:
Retirement Plan Administration
Manage day-to-day operations for 401k, 457b, 457f, and pension plans
Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and other regulatory requirements
Coordinate audits, annual testing, Form 5500 filings, and employee communications
Serve as liaison between vendors and internal teams
Maintain documentation and create employee education materials
Payroll Support
Assist in bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
Handle payroll inputs, benefit deductions, tax compliance, and reporting
Resolve issues with tax agencies and vendors
Support payroll audits and adjustments
HR Ticketing Support
Triage HR system tickets and resolve retirement-related inquiries
Deliver high-quality service with a people-first approach
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and payroll
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
One or more certifications preferred: CRPP, RICP, QPA, RMA, QKA, CPFA
Strong understanding of ERISA, IRS retirement rules, and payroll tax treatment
Familiarity with benefit deductions, payroll compliance, and reporting
Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce a plus)
Experience with Principal Financial Services platform is a bonus
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration and payroll
