There is an immediate direct hire opening for a Women’s Health Registered Nurse located in Reston, VA.  This is working in a busy practice and the RN will assist with physical examinations, confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the office to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care. Competitive salary based on experience. 

Hours of operation: Monday-Fridays 7:45am-4pm 

• Experience with IUDs, Nexplanon, Endometrial Biopsies, Colposcopy, and Pessaries.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
• Provides comprehensive professional nursing care to individuals and/or families acting as the patient’s advocate, facilitator, and educator.
• Recognizes, evaluates, and responds to emergency or unusual situations in the clinic, using nursing judgment to ensure medical care.
• Assists the patient and/or instructs the patient in preparation for the provider’s examination and/or specific treatment.
• Prepares examination/treatment rooms for provider’s use by ensuring that appropriate supplies, equipment, and instruments are available and ready on a daily basis.
• Assists the provider with examination by anticipating needs for instruments and supplies. (e.g., minor surgery, pelvic examinations, diagnostic procedures, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Virginia Registered Nurse License.
• 2-3 years' OBGYN experience.
• Experience assisting with endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, IUD, and Nexplanon.
• Current BLS, Covid 19 vaccinations, immunizations, & PPD/Chest X-Ray/QuantiFERON/T-SPOT
