Our client is a boutique law firm located in Northern Virginia seeking a friendly, professional and highly personable Receptionist to join their team. This is a fully on-site position and serves as the first point of contact for clients, callers and visitors.
The role is heavily centered on answering incoming phone calls and providing front desk support. Fluency in Spanish, both spoken and written, is essential as this position will regularly interact with Spanish-speaking clients.
While this is a law firm environment, the firm is open to candidates without prior legal experience, though prior exposure to a law firm or professional services environment is helpful. Any legal writing or research will be a limited part of this position.
This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, polished and enjoys working in a client-facing role within a professional office setting.
Answer and route a high volume of incoming phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
Greet clients and visitors and create a welcoming first impression
Serve as the primary front desk contact for the office
Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients fluently in both spoken and written Spanish
Perform general administrative and clerical support tasks as needed
Maintain a clean, organized and professional front desk and reception area
Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk or administrative support role
Experience in a law firm or legal environment is helpful but not required
Fluent in Spanish, spoken and written, preferred
Strong phone etiquette with the ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls professionally
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage daily front desk responsibilities
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and carry files, boxes or binders up to 25 lbs
Previous experience supporting attorneys or office staff in a professional services environment
Familiarity with a law firm setting or basic legal terminology
Additional administrative or office support training
