The Professional Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the growth, integration, and ongoing development of legal talent. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong service mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Coordinator works closely with firm leadership, attorneys, and various administrative teams to ensure seamless onboarding, professional development, and alumni engagement efforts.
Support the design and implementation of attorney onboarding initiatives, including welcome communications, orientation schedules, and logistics coordination
Collaborate with departments and practice groups to ensure smooth integration of new attorneys
Manage onboarding and departure processes in Workday, ensuring timely execution of all related tasks
Track key integration and development milestones for attorneys, including check-ins, mentor assignments, and internal role changes
Process advance payment submissions for new associates accurately and on time
Assist with bar renewal processes, immigration coordination, and alumni research and database updates in partnership with the Director of Attorney & Alumni Relations
Contribute to professional development programs and initiatives, including communications, development tools, and internal portal updates
Support the associate mentoring program through event coordination and mentor-mentee matching
Help plan meetings, networking events, and engagement initiatives
Compile and analyze performance and staffing data for reporting purposes
Provide administrative support to the Senior Director of Professional Development on various projects
Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity in all matters related to firm and client information

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required
Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience; experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
High level of professionalism and discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Workday and/or ViRecruit is a plus
