Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our pediatric practice. The ideal candidate will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children from infancy through adolescence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations, including taking vital signs, measuring height and weight, and recording medical history.

  • Assist pediatricians during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the provider.

  • Perform basic laboratory tests and point-of-care diagnostics.

  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, and preventative care.

  • Schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and provide front-desk support as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment in compliance with infection control protocols.

  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, providers, and office staff to support patient care.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current CMA certification required.

  • Experience in a pediatric setting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pediatric growth and development, and vaccination protocols.

  • Proficient in taking vitals and drawing blood. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic office software.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

  • Comfortable working in a clinical environment with children of all ages.
