Job Description

You will be working with one of the largest real estate development and property management companies in the region.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, including leases, amendments, and agreements.
  • Prepare and update lease forms, site plans, and maintain a library of lease clauses.
  • Conduct research on leasing restrictions and legal issues, preparing detailed documents.
  • Organize and update closing document binders and project files.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting department to maintain lease abstracts.
  • Delegate administrative tasks and supervise the Retail Legal Assistant.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by attorneys.
  • May require occasional overtime based on workload and deadlines.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of paralegal experience, ideally in commercial real estate and retail leasing.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Paralegal Studies or a related field).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with transactional and data management applications (e.g., VTS) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic, and capacity to learn quickly.
  • Effective team player with other department support staff.
