Senior Estates & Trusts Paralegal
Location: Hunt Valley, MD
Schedule: 100% In-Office | Standard Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $90,000

NRI Staffing Resources is seeking a Senior Estates & Trusts Paralegal for a well-established law firm in Hunt Valley, MD. This role supports two attorneys in a collaborative, team-oriented practice focused exclusively on estates and trusts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently, and experience mentoring junior staff while ensuring exceptional client service.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage probate matters from initiation through closing
  • Prepare and review state tax returns, estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Draft, review, and organize complex estate planning and administration documents
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, accountants, and financial institutions
  • Maintain and audit accurate estate records and documentation
  • Utilize tax and estate administration software for filings, reporting, and compliance
  • Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff while providing guidance to junior team members
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and strict confidentiality across all client matters

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as an Estates & Trusts Paralegal
  • Advanced knowledge of probate and estate administration procedures
  • Extensive experience preparing and reviewing estate, gift, and fiduciary tax returns
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and estate/tax-related software
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and lead within a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
