Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Litigation Paralegal with hands-on experience supporting complex litigation, investigations, and arbitration matters. The ideal candidate will have a background from an AmLaw 100 firm or a high-caliber litigation boutique and be comfortable handling all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, trial preparation, and e-filing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with attorneys and senior paralegals to manage all aspects of litigation support, including case calendaring, document organization, discovery coordination, and trial logistics.
  • Oversee and delegate work to junior paralegals or support staff when needed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Liaise with courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, vendors, and opposing counsel to coordinate case-related activities. 
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Conduct legal and factual research as directed.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive client and firm information.
  • Foster collaborative working relationships to support a positive and productive work environment.
  • Stay current on litigation support tools and best practices; proactively develop skills in anticipation of evolving legal needs.
  • Adhere to firm policies and complete additional tasks as assigned by firm leadership

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience in an AmLaw 100 firm or reputable litigation/dispute resolution boutique.
  • Proficient in all phases of litigation support, including e-discovery tools, electronic court filings, and trial prep; experience supporting live trials or arbitrations strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the firm.
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability; able to manage projects and assignments independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Strong team player who can also lead or delegate tasks as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with Bluebook citation rules and California Style Manual preferred.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and travel for business as required.
