Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to provide virtual, client-centered clinical services to individuals and families across all age groups. Services are delivered through time-limited, goal-oriented interventions and are rooted in both client- and family-centered approaches. This is a fully remote position conducted via telehealth. Therapists have the flexibility to create their own schedules using our secure telehealth platform.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy sessions based on client needs.
  • Meet weekly with assigned clients, or as clinically indicated.
  • Collaboratively develop and update Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) and complete necessary assessments in compliance with COMAR and agency policies.
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, billing notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in individual and/or group supervision as required by the agency and licensing body.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings scheduled by the organization.
  • Coordinate with ASOs and other providers (e.g., physicians, case managers, probation officers) to support integrated care and obtain service authorizations.
  • Maintain records of all communications and collaborative efforts with professionals involved in the client's care.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client needs, services, and diagnosis to ensure effective treatment.
  • Fulfill legal obligations including compliance with subpoenas and court orders.
  • Clinically licensed Therapists may also conduct Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support client progress and ensure compliance with state and agency standards.

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Active Maryland license (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LGMFT OR LCMFT)
  • Proficient in computer use, with access to internet and email
  • Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary teams that may include behavioral health and primary care providers.
  • Competency in conducting brief and comprehensive, developmentally appropriate assessments.
  • Skill in developing, implementing, and communicating treatment plans aligned with client goals.
  • Proficiency in delivering focused therapeutic interventions, including motivational and crisis-based approaches.
  • Ability to deliver culturally responsive services tailored to the client and their family context.
  • Familiarity with organizational structures and the Maryland Public Mental Health System.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and evaluation of service delivery.
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and digital tools to support clinical work.
