Job Requirements

  • Intervention- The ability to provide focused treatment and recovery services, including motivational interventions and crisis intervention.
  • Cultural Competence & Adaptation- The ability to provide services that are relevant to the culture of the consumer and their family. 
  • Systems Oriented Practice- The ability to function effectively within the organization and the local Maryland Public Mental Health System. 
  • Practice Based learning & Quality Improvement- The ability to assess and continually improve the services delivered as an individual provider and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Informatics- The ability to use information technology (EMR) to support and improve service delivery. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Therapist will meet with assigned consumers weekly, or otherwise as determined by the needs of the consumer;
  • The Therapist will provide individual, family, couples and/or group therapy to consumers, based on the unique needs of each consumer in order to enhance and foster the consumer’s optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community;
  • The Therapist will cooperatively complete (with the consumer and/or guardian’s input) Individual Treatment Plans, Surveys and other required assessments within the time frame stipulated by program policies and COMAR regulations;
  • The Therapist will comprehensively and accurately document all services provided and submit all documentation (i.e., progress notes, ITP’s, discharge/transition summaries, billing summaries, etc.) in accordance with agency policies;
  • The Therapist will attend individual and/or group clinical supervision at a frequency determined by the program supervisor and professional licensing body;
  • The Therapist will participate in all mandatory meetings and trainings scheduled by the agency;
  • The Therapist will communicate and coordinate with the ASO to provide consumer information and coordinate consumer treatment in order to obtain service authorizations, as required;
  • The Therapist will document communication and coordination with other agencies and individuals working with the consumer (i.e., social worker, case manager, physician, probation officer, etc.) in order to provide effective and relevant treatment, through attendance at meetings, telephone consultations, written and verbal updates, etc., as required.
  • The Therapist will continually assess consumer needs, service availability, diagnosis and the appropriateness of the services provided.
  • The Therapist will comply with all orders and subpoenas issued by the court and update the court on consumer progress, as required.
  • Clinically licensed Therapists will complete Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments, as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned in order to support consumer progress, program compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, and ATTI’s  policies and procedures.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Must have a Maryland License (LMSW, LCSW-C, LGPC, LCPC, LGMFT, LCMFT).
  • Active email account and internet access
  • Computer literacy
