Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Part-Time or Full-Time

Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that's DC License, to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical care, patient education, and support within a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patients’ vital signs and medical history.

  • Implement prescribed medical care plans and provide direct patient care.

  • Assist in coordinating consultations and referrals with other healthcare agencies.

  • Perform routine nursing procedures, including blood draws, urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and venipuncture (as needed).

  • Administer immunizations and demonstrate general knowledge of vaccination protocols.

  • Assist providers with clinical and medical procedures such as pelvic exams, wound care, and incision and drainage (I&D).

  • Document medication administration and treatments promptly and accurately.

  • Provide patient and family education regarding care, treatment, and preventive health.

  • Ensure adequate supplies and medications are available to support efficient clinic operations.

  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure continuity and quality of patient care.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

  • Current LPN license or eligibility for licensure in the District of Columbia.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred.

  • Experience working with homeless or special-needs populations is highly desirable.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare-related software.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
