The Legal Recruiting Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Legal Recruiting team by providing essential administrative assistance to attract top legal talent. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting and will be responsible for facilitating the recruiting process, managing candidate communications, scheduling interviews, and maintaining accurate records to ensure a smooth and efficient recruiting operation.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage and communicate effectively.
Demonstrates sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team.
Strong customer service orientation and a high level of professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Able to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
Availability to work additional hours as needed, particularly from May through July.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supports the organization and execution of the Summer Associate Program, including tracking pre-arrival details, drafting arrival notices, scheduling orientation sessions, and coordinating exit interviews. Also assists with social events and training programs.
Provides support throughout the recruiting season and on-campus interview process, including registering for on-campus interview programs, resume collections, job fairs, managing candidate files, preparing for hiring partner meetings, scheduling candidate interviews and second-look visits, and coordinating post-offer recruiting events.
Assists with organizing lateral associate and judicial clerk candidate applications, including preparing candidate summaries for hiring partner reviews and communicating with select search firms.
Monitors and manages the general Legal Recruiting email account, responding to inquiries as needed.
Maintains the legal recruiting database (VI Recruit) and manages candidate files throughout the recruitment process.
Prepares correspondence for the department, such as offer letters to potential candidates.
Coordinates candidate and associate hire payments, including travel expenses.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential firm and client information.
