Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with marketing programs and initiatives aimed at building the firm's profile, both in general and within specific practice areas and industry groups.
  • Draft and assemble materials for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), pitches, and client presentations.
  • Help coordinate and support firm events, including webinars, teleconferences, seminars, and speaking engagements.
  • Coordinate and manage practice group events and sponsorships.
  • Work with the team to organize and execute events, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
  • Conduct research on potential clients, industries, competitors, and market trends.
  • Assist in compiling information for directory submissions (e.g., Chambers USA, Legal 500).
  • Use available databases, including Salesforce, Pardot, and other marketing systems, to support research, business development, and pitch tracking.
  • Maintain and update marketing materials, such as practice group profiles, attorney biographies, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Contribute to the creation of publications like newsletters, alerts, and client communications.
  • Assist with preparing briefing materials for partner/client meetings, speaking engagements, and conferences.
  • Leverage Salesforce (CRM) and Pardot (or equivalent marketing automation tools) to track and report on marketing campaigns, pitches, and event participation.
  • Ensure accuracy in data management across various platforms and systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the marketing and business development team.
  • Maintain files, submit expense reports, and assist with routine administrative tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A degree is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • 1–2 years of working experience in a marketing, research, or communications-related role, in a professional services environment such as law, accounting, or consulting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Basic experience with Salesforce CRM and/or similar CRM platforms.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools (e.g., Pardot, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as InDesign and Canva for creating marketing materials.Desired Performance Traits:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems efficiently, while handling shifting priorities and pressure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and handle diverse tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
