Job Description

Our client, a nationally recognized litigation firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a dynamic federal and state court practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-profile litigation and enjoys being deeply involved in complex matters from filing through trial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and responses under attorney supervision.
  • Cite-check, proofread, and Bluebook briefs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect, organize, and produce documents for discovery using tools such as NetDocuments and Adobe.
  • E-file documents in federal and state courts (PACER required) and maintain litigation files.
  • Draft subpoenas, coordinate service, and manage case calendars and deadlines.
  • Conduct docket research and prepare deposition and trial materials, including exhibits and courtroom logistics.
  • Travel as needed for hearings and trials.
  • Leverage Westlaw EDGE, PACER, Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools to support case preparation and research.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm.
  • Strong Bluebook cite-checking and proofreading skills.
  • Trial experience required.
  • Interest in public policy, government, or election-related matters preferred.
  • Proficiency with Westlaw EDGE, PACER, Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with NetDocuments and Adobe preferred.
