Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will hold a current DC LPN license and have experience providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an LPN, you will be responsible for supporting physicians and RNs while delivering excellent care tailored to each patient's needs.

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
  • Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
  • Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
  • Provides routine care for patients.
  • Observes patients’ health.
  • Reviews medical charts.
  • Accompanies patients to their rooms.
  • Assists physicians and registered nurses.
  • Communicates with patients and their families.
  • Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.
  • Prepares specimens for lab courier.
  • Administers medications.
  • Provides wound care.
  • Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
  • Assists with patient comfort.
  • Monitors catheters

 This is a Full time Position 

We have hours from: 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am(Overnight Shift)

Morning shifts is full as of now, but we can consider

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Washington, DC

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program

  • CPR certification (BLS preferred)

  • Minimum1 year experience of LPN experience preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment

  • Proficient in routine diagnostic and clinical procedures
