LPN – Correctional Healthcare | Washington, DC

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Assess, observe, and report changes in patient condition
  • Provide nursing care and patient education
  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a state-approved LPN program
  • Active DC LPN License
  • 1–2 years of recent nursing experience preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a secure healthcare environment

Available Shifts

Full-Time & Part-Time

  • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Part-time employees must be available for a minimum of three shifts per week.

Job Requirements

Credentialing Requirements

  • Current CPR Certification
  • Active DC LPN License
  • Nursing diploma or certificate
  • Hepatitis B vaccination
  • Flu vaccine (within the last 12 months)
  • MMR immunization
  • Current TB screening (PPD or chest X-ray)
  • Tdap (within the last 10 years)
  • Varicella vaccination
