We are seeking a skilled and compassionate IDD Reviewer to join a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role is ideal for a professional with 2-5 years of hands-on experience who is committed to advocacy, quality care, and improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position is remote, with required weekly visits to residential sites throughout Washington, DC. Candidates must be current DC residents.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents’ individual needs, strengths, and challenges
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans
Interview residents and family members to gather insights and ensure person-centered care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and evolving needs
Stay current on best practices, techniques, and advancements in the developmental disabilities field
Coordinate with external agencies and funding sources, including Medicaid and Medicare, to ensure compliance and proper documentation
Advocate for residents’ rights, independence, well-being, and community inclusion
Provide training and guidance to staff on effective support strategies
Manage a remote workload while conducting required on-site visits across Washington, DC

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field
2–5 years of direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration, interviews, and family engagement
Working knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare regulations related to service provision
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with computer systems and electronic record-keeping
Ability to adapt and work effectively in a dynamic environment
Empathetic, patient, and committed to improving quality of life for residents
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
Must be a current resident of Washington, DC
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
