The ideal candidate should have good knowledge in the theory and practice of troubleshooting information systems and computer networks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a public safety environment. The preferred candidate will have experience configuring, managing and troubleshooting desktop and laptop computers in a Windows environment. The candidate will have experience with installing and troubleshooting printers and other peripherals. The ideal candidate will be able to resolve issues effectively and efficiently while meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with others using non-technical language to explain complex technical subjects. The candidate will be comfortable working in a local government environment.

Minimum
Completion of college level courses in information systems, three years of progressive responsibilities in the IT field or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities; Experience in a help desk environment, Background supporting Windows 10, Background supporting Office 365.
Preferred
Four Year College Degree in Information Systems; Four years of progressive responsibilities in IT field; Background with various Windows Server versions; Working knowledge of SharePoint; Experience using Microsoft Configuration Manager; Experience writing technical documentation. Experience with various support ticketing and inventory systems; Related Microsoft or similar certifications; Experience planning and/or managing one or more projects; Experience working with technology in a Public Safety environment; Experience working in a government organization; Working background of command line, vbscript, and/or PowerShell scripting.
