Job Description

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will play a key role in providing comprehensive primary care services to an engaged and appreciative patient population. The ideal candidate is confident, clinically strong, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining close collaboration with exceptional physicians and clinical staff.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for both acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide preventive care services, wellness visits, and evidence-based screenings
  • Manage chronic disease care with a focus on long-term outcomes and patient education
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
  • Provide follow-up care and ongoing care coordination
  • Document all patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical team members to ensure seamless continuity of care
  • Uphold the highest standards of clinical quality, professionalism, and patient satisfaction

Job Requirements

Qualifications

 

  • Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Washington, D.C. (or eligible for licensure)
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (primary care experience strongly valued)
  • Strong diagnostic, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to practice independently while valuing collaboration and physician partnership
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
  • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approach to care
