The ideal candidate must possess experience in supporting essential multi-modular software systems and SQL server databases. Effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams is essential for meeting departmental requirements. Clear and concise communication skills are a must across all organizational levels and leveraging their technical expertise and operational awareness to transform business needs into viable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Administer the police department’s extensive Records Management System and interface with various public and law enforcement systems.
Ensure adherence to reporting mandates such as NIBRS, Community Policing, and CALEA.
Design and develop sophisticated reports and applications for effective data presentation.
Oversee complex departmental databases containing sensitive information. Establish and enforce data integrity standards, maintain stringent security measures, and ensure redundancy and high availability.
Lead projects and initiatives for new or existing police technology systems, collaborating with external vendors for implementation and enhancement.
Engage with police leadership and other City departments to optimize and maintain departmental technology.
Provide leadership and guidance to a small technical team, planning and coordinating assignments, reviewing work for accuracy, and monitoring project status.
Supervise the Technical Support Unit, managing user service requests, hardware/software inventory, server maintenance, and system administration.
