Job Description

Our client is looking for a Contract Closeout Specialist to support its finance department. This is an on-site, full-time position (five days per week). This position is anticipated to start in January.

 


The Contract Closeout Specialist will provide comprehensive acquisition and administrative support with a primary focus on contract closeout activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing closeout actions for various contract types.

  • Interpreting and analyzing contract documentation and invoice data to ensure all closeout packages meet applicable contractual terms and conditions.

  • Auditing contract files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

  • Securing concurrence for closeout from the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and vendors.

  • Preparing letters, memorandums, forms, and related documentation to support contract closeout processes.

  • Coordinating with the closeout team lead and program staff to drive cross-functional efficiency and timely completion of contract closeout actions.

  • Communicating daily with internal and external stakeholders, including peers, functional departments, and management.

  • Promoting a collaborative, positive, and proactive team environment.

  • Maintaining awareness of departmental goals and tracking closeout statistics to ensure performance targets are met.

  • Verifying receipt and acceptance of all required deliverables and reports.

  • Recommending de-obligation of excess funds in alignment with agency guidelines.

  • Preparing contract completion statements and overseeing proper disposition of contract files.

  • Producing ad-hoc reports and participating in meetings as needed to provide updates and analysis on closeout activities.

 

Job Requirements

All candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.

The position pays $23.86 per hour plus $5.09 per hour in Health & Welfare benefits (total compensation: $28.95 per hour).
