Job Description

The contract Specialist would Monitor and evaluate contract performance, terms, expenditures, and deliverable. Ensure contract compliance and if necessary, may initiate corrective action. Research and keeps abreast of all available cooperative procurement resources. Coordinate payment process for contracts associated.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform closeout for various contract types
  • Interpret and analyze documentation and invoice data
  • documentation and packages are submitted in accordance to the correct contractual terms and conditions;
  • Audit files to ensure accuracy and completeness;
  • Obtain concurrences for closeout from representatives and vendors
  • Prepare letters, memorandums, and miscellaneous forms
  • Coordinate with team lead and program office to achieve cross- functional team efficiency 
  • Interact daily with internal/external customers, peers, other departments and all levels of management;
  • Encourage, inspire and participate in teamwork in a positive and proactive manner
  • Maintain cognizance of department goals and track closeout statistics to achieve stated goals
  • Receive and accept reports and deliveries
  • Recommend de-obligation of excess funds pursuant to agency guidelines and procedures
  • Prepare ad reports and attend meetings
