Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Communication Specialist with strong web design and graphic experience to support the launch and ongoing maintenance of our new website. This individual will be responsible for creating marketing materials, maintaining a strong social media presence, and assisting in the development of engaging graphics for presentations and various communication channels. The ideal candidate will have an English degree and extensive experience in writing, editing, and digital media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website Management: Oversee the upkeep of the company's new website, ensuring content is up-to-date, engaging, and aligned with branding goals.
  • Content Creation: Develop and design marketing slicks, PowerPoint presentations, and other visual materials to support business objectives.
  • Social Media: Manage and grow the company's social media presence, creating content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Writing & Editing: Provide writing and editorial support for process documentation, articles, scripts, presentations, website copy, and internal/external communications.
  • Design & Graphics: Create visually compelling graphics for presentations, marketing materials, and web content.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the communication strategy supports the overall goals of the organization.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in English, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in web design, graphic design, and content creation, including marketing materials, social media, and digital platforms.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and desktop publishing tools.
    • Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and familiarity with content management systems (e.g., Drupal, Convio, Kintera).
    • Expertise in design and content creation/editing software (e.g., Photo shop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editorial skills with a deep understanding of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and website analytics.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative content.
