Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide essential healthcare services in a secure facility. This role requires a professional who can deliver quality care in a fast-paced, high-security environment while demonstrating empathy, composure, and strong clinical judgment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy with accuracy and confidence; recent hands-on experience required.
  • Assist with basic medical procedures, including administering medications, wound care, and patient assessments.
  • Accurately document all care and treatment in Electronic Health Records systems.
  • Maintain and organize treatment areas, manage medical supplies, and ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare staff and patients to provide safe, respectful care.

 

 

Shift: Monday - Friday 7a-3p with rotating weekends

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with current, active certification and recent hands-on phlebotomy experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant in a fast pace environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Proven skills in de-escalation, conflict resolution, and maintaining composure in high-stress or emotionally charged situations.
  • Highly adaptable and resourceful, with the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Emotionally resilient, dependable, and capable of maintaining professionalism and clinical judgment under pressure.
