Job Description

A highly regarded, concierge Internal Medicine practice in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced and polished Medical Assistant to support a solo physician in a boutique, high-end clinical setting. This physician-owned and operated practice has an excellent reputation in the community and serves an elite patient population that expects exceptional service, discretion, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism, white-glove patient care, and creating a seamless clinical experience.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and after patient visits
  • Room patients promptly and professionally
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs
  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws 
  • Administer EKGs
  • Assist physician during examinations and minor procedures
  • Manage limited inbound/outbound patient calls
  • Schedule appointments and assist with light administrative tasks
  • Maintain accurate EMR documentation
  • Ensure smooth daily clinical flow in a small, personalized practice

 

 

Shift: Monday - Wednesday 8:30a – 4p

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 2–3 years of recent Medical Assistant experience
  • Prior experience in Internal Medicine or a primary care setting
  • Proficient in blood draws/venipuncture (required)
  • Experience performing EKGs
  • Comfortable working in a solo physician practice environment
  • Strong EMR experience
  • Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Polished, professional, and well-presented
  • Strong customer service background with a concierge mindset
  • Comfortable working with high-profile or discerning patients
  • Discreet, dependable, and proactive
  • Able to work independently in a small practice setting
