Are you a compassionate and detail-driven Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team, playing a key role in supporting clinical operations with a focus on mental health safety and intake services. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured environment and is passionate about patient care and well-being.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and care of individuals through suicide watch monitoring and efficient intake processing. Your attentiveness and professionalism will directly contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive clinical setting.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct medical intake screenings for newly admitted individuals
  • Provide support for suicide watch protocols through observation and detailed documentation
  • Monitor patient behavior and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
  • Record vital signs,urinalysis and gather medical history information
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
  • Support nursing staff with clinical and administrative duties
  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and all safety protocols

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (rotating weekends required)

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Must be able to work in Washington, DC

Required Documentation:

  • Copy of CPR certification card
  • Copy of CMA license (must be a valid DC license)
  • CMA diploma or certificate
  • Hepatitis B immunization record (or signed declination form)
  • Influenza (flu) vaccination within the last 12 months (or signed declination form)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization
  • TB screening (PPD, Chest X-ray, or QuantiFERON) completed within the last 12 months
  • Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
  • Varicella immunization
  • COVID-19 vaccination record
  • Valid government-issued ID copy
