Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a major system modernization initiative — replacing legacy pension administration technology with a modern, Azure-hosted platform.

 

Responsibilities

  • Engage with business units to understand operational workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities
  • Interface with technical resources to understand and translate technical requirements
  • Document current-state processes using structured methods such as process maps, swimlane diagrams, and workflow charts
  • Facilitate discussions to define future-state processes aligned with organizational goals
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and Azure DevOps work items/user stories
  • Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, testable, and aligned with business priorities
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to refine and validate requirements
  • Develop test plans, test scripts, and step-by-step testing instructions for functional and user acceptance testing
  • Execute functional testing of user stories in Development and Test environments to validate solution accuracy and readiness
  • Document defects, track resolution progress, and verify fixes
  • Coordinate, support, or lead user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and issues clearly and proactively
  • Support change management activities by contributing to training materials, documentation, and user guidance

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience in business analysis, process documentation, or related roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create clear process diagrams and workflow documentation
  • Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases
  • Familiarity with DevOps or similar work item management tools
  • Hands-on experience with functional testing and UAT coordination
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
