A prominent super boutique law firm located in DC's West End is looking for a talented and motivated Billing Coordinator to join their team. Best candidates will have five years of current law firm or professional services billing experience; degree preferred but not required.
In this role, you'll utilize the 3E billing software system; maintain a thorough knowledge of client terms, discount arrangements, lawyer and client preferences while managing the complete billing process for assigned billing responsible attorneys; produce firm standard billing proformas for review by billing responsible attorneys each month; edit and finalize invoices based on instructions provided by the billing responsible attorneys and client guidelines; maintain and update billing instructions in 3E; submit electronic invoices via E-Billing guidelines; monitor submitted invoices to confirm acceptance, appeal rejections, add timekeepers for rate approvals, and additional troubleshooting efforts; respond to information requests from lawyers, clients, and staff related to client billings; follow-up with billing responsible attorneys to ensure timely processing of bills; research proformas or billing-related inquiries and produce monthly statements for outstanding invoices and send same to clients.
Five-plus years experience as a Billing Coordinator in a law firm or professional services firm
Have very good to excellent skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
Proficient in using 3E and the E-Billing Hub (or a similar billing program)
Strong communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Track record of being self-motivated and taking ownership of work
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of firm personnel
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
