Job Description

In this role, you will ensure efficient completion of Audit & Collections activities in accordance with trust documents for pension plans. This position involves working with confidential information, requiring a strong understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and Collective Bargaining Agreements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with various stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and mail audit announcement letters; maintain database and accounting records for tracking.
  • Gather and provide necessary documents for auditors to complete audits, ensuring status of any incomplete audits is monitored.
  • Process completed audits in the database and notify employers of results, including any delinquent contributions.
  • Review auditor invoices for accuracy.
  • Process payments for audits and delinquent accounts.
  • Print and send delinquency letters to employers.
  • Collaborate with employers to resolve issues related to delinquency letters.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys handling collection efforts.
  • Ensure pension overpayments are submitted for payment and track their status.
  • Review progress reports to identify contractors delinquent in filing Monthly Payroll Reports.
  • Act as a representative for the Fund in communication with attorneys, administrators, and other collection professionals.
  • Negotiate payment terms and create repayment agreements with employers.
  • Refer delinquencies to attorneys based on established guidelines.
  • Monitor accounts managed by legal counsel and update status as needed.
  • Recommend actions regarding employer overpayments to the Senior Audit & Collections Analyst.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with the ability to work remotely two days per week after 6 months of training.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Taft-Hartley Trust Funds or auditing preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex issues with a positive, flexible, and cooperative attitude.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to gather evidence and resolve issues collaboratively.
