Non-profit organization seeking an Accounting/Finance Manager for a short-term position (2 months) to support the finance department. The Accounting/Finance Manager will be responsible for performing general accounting functions which includes General Ledger maintenance, entries, reconciliations, reporting, analysis and fixed assets. If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with experience in accounting, Fixed Assets System (FAS) and Great Plains is a plus.

Candidate must be able to:

• General Ledger maintenance, entries, reconciliations, reporting and analysis
• Monthly fixed asset reconciliations and reports
• Monthly investment account reconciliations and reports
• Monthly pledge/contribution reconciliation, working closing with Development team
• Reconciles monthly bank account statements, ensuring accurate G/L recording
• Reconciles monthly credit card donations and development reports
• Month end financial close procedures
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Assist with seasonal financial department projects (eg. annual budgeting process, annual federal, state and local tax filings, etc.)
• Responsible for annual independent audit preparation and point of contact during audit

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
• Must have 5-8 years’ experience in accounting environment
• Detail oriented and possess excellent research and preparation skills
• Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must have experience in automated accounting environments (experience with Great Plains is a plus)
• Experience with Fixed Assets System (FAS) is a plus
• Demonstrate Microsoft Office program proficiency
