Job Description

The Development Assistant will be an integral member of the Development and Land Acquisitions Team reporting to the President of the department. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious and curious individual to advance his or her development skills through direct daily interactions with the leader of the company’s property acquisition strategy.

  • Able to be in the office whenever the President of the department is present or requires support.  This position is NOT remote.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the response to Requests for Proposals
  • Remain current on all active, on-hold, and historic projects
  • Manage access and data collection from online resources such as parcel ID numbers and tax information
  • Ensure transaction and development data is fully populated in technology systems
  • Maintain accuracy in published data and documents
  • Prepare routine and/or advanced correspondence, including letters, memos and reports
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Provide administrative support with calendar management, booking business travel, preparing and submitting expense reports, and document management
  • Schedule meetings and update contacts
  • Screen incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when appropriate
  • Complete other assignments as required or requested

Job Requirements

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Has EA C-suite experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint,
  • Experience with Procore, and/or Smartsheet
  • 3- 5 years of relevant experience, real estate, construction or development/planning preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all corporate and personal matters
  • Attention to detail and self-motivation to work with minimal direction
  • Candidate will possess a high level of “common sense” and flexibility
  • Screen phone calls and requests for executive and direct as necessary
  • Must be self-motivated and self-sufficient with minimal direction
  • A high level of organization and follow-through skills are required
  • Work effectively under pressure with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with time sensitive deadlines
