Job Description

Our client in the non-profit industry is seeking a Manager, Benefits and Compensation to lead and manage their overall compensation and benefits program. The Manager, Benefits and compensation will be responsible for administration of performance management system, processing of merit salary increases and overall management of benefits program. If this sounds like you, we are looking for someone with experience managing benefits and compensation programs.

 

Job Requirements

Candidate must be able to:

  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures and recommends changes that are cost effective 
  • Develop and implement new compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures
    Ensure all programs, policies, and procedures comply with current legislation
  • Communicate with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues
  • Provides advice to the organization on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure compensation objectives are achieved
  • Prepare budgets, reports, and presentations
  • Manage Open Enrollment process which includes the following:
  • Lead Flexible Spending Accounts Testing and 403(b) testing data
  • Manage all ACA Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field
  • Five to eight years of prior relevant work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefit programs, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation
  • Experience managing benefits and compensation in a human resources information system (HRIS).
  • Proficiency and experience with MS Office (strong background in Excel).
  • Advanced experience and knowledge with an integrated payroll/HR system (preferably ADP Workforce Now).  
  • Relevant certifications, such as CEBS/CCP or SHRM certification, preferred
  • Strong people and project management skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
