Job Description

A non-profit located in DC is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist who can do advanced bookkeeping as well as accounts payable responsibilities. 

  • Trade Credit Negotiations
  • Payment processing
  • Vendor Validation
  • Account reconciliation & monitoring bank balances
  • Compiling and maintaining AP records
  • Responsible for client and vendor communication

Job Requirements

 

  • Must have an Associate Degree or equivalent.
  • Need 3-5 years of experience in related field.
  • 3 years of experience coding invoices in a basic chart of account.
  • Understanding of foundational principals of finance, accounting and bookkeeping.
  • QuickBooks experience required.
  • Solid computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to multitask at a high level.
  • Experience with government grants a plus.
