The Department of Corrections in DC has several LPN opportunities available.
Shifts available are 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am.
They are looking for nurses who can work weekends.
$40.00 per hour.
Performs medial evaluation on inmates, which may include checking temperature, blood pressure, respiration, pulse and vision. Respond to medical emergencies provide emergency care, triage inmates, and dispense medications.
Prepares and organizes daily tasks, maintains Medication Administration Record.
Monitors inmates for behavioral and mental status changes.
Administers medication to inmates, discusses inmates’ condition with RN and Physician, sets up, dispenses, and charts medication.
Assures that medical area is clean and well stocked.
Changes dressings and draws blood, obtains DNA samples, performs trach, wound and colostomy care.
Obtain medical records, enter medical data into computer, maintain medical records.
Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams.
Must have at least 2 years’ experience.
Must have the following documents.
DC Nursing license
CPR CARD
Covid Vaccinations plus booster
MMR
PPD received in the last 12 months.
T-dap
Varicella
Hep B
Flu shot received within the last 12 months.
