Job Description

As an LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, assist with their daily activities, and support healthcare providers in delivering effective and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing protocols.
  • Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and health status, reporting changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
  • Provide wound care, including dressing changes and wound management.
  • Perform basic nursing procedures such as catheterizations, injections, and blood draws.
  • Support and educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Document patient care and progress accurately and promptly in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Collaborate with registered nurses (RNs), physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection control practices.
  • Participate in care planning and coordination, contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
  • Respond to patient needs and concerns promptly, providing empathetic and effective support.

 

Work Schedule:

Monday-Sunday 7am-3pm, 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm-7am

Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00am-7:00pm

Monday-Friday 7am-7pm PRN

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN license in DC
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program
  • Minimum of 1 years of nursing experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and teamwork
  • Ability to perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records software
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations

 

 

Must Have The Following Update To Date Records: 

  • CPR Card.
  • Hep B or Declination form 
  • Flu shot or Declination form ( flu shot must have been administered within the last 12 months)
  • MMR
  • PPD or Chest Xray ( completed   within the last 12 months ) ( if chest Xray within the last 5 years  
  • T-dap (received within the last 10 years)
  • Varicella
  • Covid Vaccination (if johnson johnson both shots, if phizer both shots plus booster shot)
